Thomas acquires the former Rittal factory in Rennerod and rents office areas for the division Mobile Hydraulics in Betzdorf. In doing so, the company is reacting  to the strong growth and to the increasing demand of production, logistics and office areas.

Thomas looks back to an above-average growth in the past year. Capacity increases and new projects in the division automotive and mobile hydraulics require additional areas for offices, production and logistics at a short notice. The new production and logistics hall in the Innomotion Park, which will be inaugurated in spring 2018, will not be able to meet the growing demand for space.
“We are happy about the increasing international demand from the automotive and mobile hydraulics industries and about the confidence in our products. Our growth of more than 20 percent in 2017 was significantly higher than expected.  For us, this means an earlier investment in production facilities and also in area extensions. By purchasing the plant in Rennerod area, we gain additional time to plan and schedule a development concept in the long term.  At the same time, we are creating further modern and attractive employments”, explains CEO Markus Krauss.

Additionally, the Business Unit Mobile Hydraulics has recently moved into the office space in the industrial area in Betzdorf, to create literally some “air to work” again.
